LAHORE: Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the relevant authorities to take the required measures to prevent the illness as the threat of dengue continues to loom over Punjab with the recent spell of monsoon.

The chief minister evaluated how well each department performed during the dengue campaign. Hamza stated that carelessness would not be allowed since the dengue virus affects human life.
He gave the appropriate authorities instructions to act quickly to eradicate dengue. A meeting to discuss the province's anti-dengue effort was presided over by the CM.
CM Punjab Hamza shahbaz gave instructions to the relevant departments to address their issues and actively participate in the elimination of dengue. The CM mandated the formation of monitoring committees for the elimination of dengue at the level of union councils.
The CM further warned that disciplinary action will be taken against the officers for displaying subpar performance with reference to the anti-dengue campaign when speaking at the review meeting.
He gave the deputy commissioners instructions to monitor the dengue control effort in the field.
Additionally, he instructed the district health officials to monitor the dengue control effort by going out into the field in each district.
The meeting's professionals gave a briefing on the need to entirely eradicate dengue larva. The meeting was attended by the provincial minister, Khawaja Salman Rafique, as well as the chief secretary, principal secretary to the chief minister, secretaries of the relevant departments, the division of the commissioner for Lahore, and other senior officials. Divisional commissioners were able to join via video link.
In the meanwhile, the CM thanked Makkah-based Hajj pilgrims in a statement released on Friday.
The CM prayed that "may Allah Almighty also reward him and his political and administrative team members with the chances to alleviate the sufferings of the people in need." He said and requested that "may the lives of all human beings become more painless."
